Complete Rarities – I.R.S. 1982–1987 is a compilation from R.E.M., released on 19 May 2014 through Capitol Records. It gathers the band's rarer recordings from their years on I.R.S. Records, the label that housed their early run of albums, from Murmur in 1983 through to Document in 1987.

It also reaches back further, to the tracks from their first single, put out on the Hib-Tone label in July 1981. That makes it a handy way to hear the very start of the band alongside the odds and ends from their jangling, early alternative rock period. There was no CD pressing, so the songs are available only as a digital download. For anyone who knows the studio albums well and wants to dig into the margins around them, it is a natural next step.
