Diabolical
Diabolical is the fifteenth studio album from German thrash metal band Destruction, released on 8 April 2022 through Napalm Records. It arrived to mark the band's 40th anniversary, a long stretch for a group whose first records came out in the mid-1980s with Infernal Overkill and Eternal Devastation.
It also marks a change in the band's story. Founding rhythm guitarist Mike Sifringer left in 2021 after nearly four decades, and Martin Furia took his place, so this is the first Destruction album made without him. It follows Born to Perish from 2019 and comes before Birth of Malice in 2025, which makes it worth hearing for anyone following how the band carried on after such a significant departure.
