Day of Reckoning
Day of Reckoning is the eleventh studio album by German thrash metal band Destruction, released in 2011 on Nuclear Blast. It follows D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. from 2008 and comes before Spiritual Genocide in 2012. It is also the first record to feature drummer Vaaver, a change behind the kit that marks a fresh chapter for the group.
The band talked it up as a return to their roots, promising something faster and more turbulent than its predecessor, with longtime fans in mind. That makes it a natural stop if you like your thrash old-school and quick on its feet. "Hate Is My Fuel" had its live debut in Portugal in December 2010, a few weeks before the album arrived. The first limited edition came without the band's logo on the booklet, while the vinyl and the second CD pressing carry a red one, a small detail for collectors to hunt down.
