Thrash Anthems
Thrash Anthems is a Destruction album that revisits the German thrash band's older material, with the songs re-recorded and joined by two new tracks, "Deposition (Your Heads Will Roll)" and "Profanity". It came out on 2007, and it arrived between Inventor of Evil (2005) and D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. (2008) in the band's run of studio records.
The limited digipak edition adds a bonus track, "Eternal Ban", plus a video clip for "Total Desaster". The 2-LP version leaves out that bonus track and shuffles the running order in places. It makes a handy way into the band's back catalogue, and for long-time fans it offers a chance to hear familiar songs played afresh. A follow-up, Thrash Anthems II, appeared in November 2017 with another set of classics given the same treatment.
