Born to Perish
Born to Perish is the fourteenth studio album by German thrash metal band Destruction, released on 9 August 2019 through Nuclear Blast. It follows Under Attack and the second Thrash Anthems collection, and it arrived as the band's sixteenth entry in a studio catalogue that stretches back to Infernal Overkill in 1985.
The line-up is what makes this one stand out. It is the first Destruction record since 1999 made as a four-piece rather than a trio, and it introduces guitarist Damir Eskić and drummer Randy Black. It is also the final album to feature founding member Mike Sifringer, so it closes a chapter for a band that has been at it since the mid-eighties. Worth hearing for fans who want to follow how the group changed shape.
