D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.
D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. is the tenth studio album by the German thrash metal band Destruction, released on 29 August 2008 through AFM Records. Candlelight Records handled the American release. It follows Thrash Anthems from 2007 and comes before Day of Reckoning in 2011, sitting in the stretch of the band's career that began with their return in the late 1990s.
The record has a neat trick built into it: the first letters of the track titles spell out "devolution". It is also a record with some notable guests. Gary Holt, known for Exodus and Slayer, and Jeff Waters of Annihilator both contribute solos to "Urge (The Greed of Gain)", while Vinnie Moore of UFO also plays guitar on the album. For thrash fans, that is a handy lineup of fretboard talent to chase down.
