Cracked Brain
Cracked Brain is the fourth studio album by the German thrash metal band Destruction, released on Noise in 1989. It follows Infernal Overkill, Eternal Devastation and Release From Agony, and it is the one record in their catalogue to feature André Grieder of Poltergeist on vocals. He stepped in after Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer was fired following the album's initial sessions.
That change makes it a curious chapter in the band's story, and the main reason to seek it out. There is also a cover of The Knack's "My Sharona", an unexpected choice for a thrash record. AllMusic gave the album two stars out of five, so it is best approached as an oddity, one for listeners who want to hear how Destruction sounded with a different frontman.
