Live at Wembley Stadium
Live at Wembley Stadium captures Foo Fighters over two sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium, on 6 and 7 June 2008. The film draws on both shows, and the second night includes a guest spot from Jimmy Page on guitar and John Paul Jones on bass, both formerly of Led Zeppelin. The cover image comes from the aerial camera above the crowd on the first night.
It arrived on DVD in the UK on 25 August 2008, on Roswell Records, a year after the studio album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Before that, it was shown in high definition with 5.1 surround sound at Vue Cinemas across the UK on 24 June. It went on to earn triple platinum certification in Australia and gold in New Zealand, which suggests plenty of fans wanted to relive the occasion at home.
