Lightning Strikes Again
Lightning Strikes Again is the tenth studio album by the American heavy metal band Dokken, released in 2008 on Frontiers Records. It follows Hell to Pay from 2004 and sits in the band's catalogue ahead of Broken Bones in 2012. The title nods to a track from their 1985 album Under Lock and Key, a link back to the years when the band was at its peak.
The record had a delayed route to the shops, having first been planned for late 2007 before being pushed back. It entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 133, the band's best chart showing since 2004, and drew some of the warmest reviews they had received since their 1980s heyday. It is also the final Dokken album to feature bassist Barry Sparks and drummer Mick Brown, which makes it a useful marker for anyone following the group's line-ups.
