The Definitive Rock Collection
Released17 October 2006
Popularity16.4
The Definitive Rock Collection is a two-disc compilation from the American heavy metal band Dokken, issued by Rhino Records on 17 October 2006. It gathers the band's work into a single release, filed under hard rock.
It arrived well into Dokken's career, after the run of albums that began with Breaking the Chains in 1981 and took in Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack in the mid-to-late 1980s. By then they had also made records such as Hell to Pay in 2004, with Lightning Strikes Again to follow in 2008. For anyone wanting a wide view of the band across those years without hunting down each studio album, a two-disc set like this is a handy place to start.
