Dysfunctional
Dysfunctional is Dokken's sixth studio album, released in May 1995 on Columbia. It followed the band's 1993 reunion and began life as a Don Dokken solo project. It became a full band record once guitarist George Lynch returned to join Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown. A version made for the Japanese market appeared in December 1994 under the simple title Dokken.
When the band signed internationally, the album was remixed and three songs were added: "Hole In My Head", a cover of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "From the Beginning", and "If the Good Die Young". That last track is a heavily reworked take on "Snake Eyes", which Pilson had recorded with Flesh & Blood. The album entered the chart at No. 47, though sales soon faded and it fell short of gold certification. "Too High to Fly" was a minor hit and still turns up in the band's live sets.
