Broken Bones
Broken Bones is the eleventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Dokken, released on 21 September 2012 through Frontiers Records. It followed Lightning Strikes Again from 2008 and sits in the second half of a catalogue that began with Breaking the Chains in 1981. The record leans on hard rock and heavy metal.
It is a record of firsts for the band. Session drummer Jimmy DeGrasso played on it because Mick Brown had scheduling conflicts, making it the first Dokken album without Brown. It is also the only one to feature bassist Sean McNabb. A special European edition added a thirty-minute DVD on the making of the album. In the US it entered the Billboard 200 at No. 173. For anyone tracing the band's later years, it is a distinctive entry.
