Album
Lovehunter
Lovehunter is the second studio album by the British rock band Whitesnake, released on 21 September 1979 on Liberty. It follows Trouble from 1978 and sits at the start of the run of records that built the band's name in the UK, giving them their first Top 30 album when it climbed to No. 29 on the UK Albums Chart.
The opener, "Long Way from Home", reached No. 55 on the UK singles chart. "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues" is among the most praised songs of the group's early years, and it's the one to seek out first if you want to hear the band's bluesy hard rock at its best. The sleeve caused a stir at the time, though the music inside is what stays with you.
