Trouble
Trouble is the debut studio album from Whitesnake, the British band fronted by David Coverdale after his time as vocalist with Deep Purple. It followed the four-track Snakebite EP and came out on Fame in 1978. It climbed to No. 50 on the UK Albums Chart, a modest start for a band that would go on to have a long run of studio records.
For anyone tracing the Whitesnake story, this is where the hard rock line begins, well before Lovehunter arrived in 1979 and the band's later successes. The album has been reissued several times, including a 1988 CD release in the UK and a remaster from EMI in 2007 with six bonus tracks, mainly rough mixes. It is a useful place to hear Coverdale's new band finding its feet.
