The Very Beast of Dio, Volume 2
The Very Beast of Dio, Volume 2 is a compilation released on 9 October 2012 through Niji. It arrived after the death of Ronnie James Dio and works as a follow-up to the 2000 collection The Very Beast of Dio, which gathered material from the band's first six studio albums and a live EP.
Where that first volume stopped, this one carries on, drawing on the seventh to tenth studio albums: Magica, Killing the Dragon, Master of the Moon and the one between them in the band's run. The earlier set was available only in the United States and Canada, but this one had a worldwide release. It suits anyone who knows the early Dio classics and wants a tidy way into the band's later records.
