Tune In, Tokyo…
Tune In, Tokyo… is a live release from Green Day, issued through Reprise Records on 9 October 2001 and sold only in Japan. It's an EP rather than a full album, and it falls into the alternative rock bracket.
The recording comes from the band's tour for Warning, their 2000 studio album, and was captured in Sendai in March 2001. That places it in the stretch between Warning and American Idiot, when the group had already built a catalogue running from Dookie and Insomniac through to nimrod. For fans who like to hear how the band sounded on stage during the Warning era, and who enjoy a Japan-only curiosity, it's a neat piece of the Green Day story.
