International Superhits!
International Superhits! is Green Day's first greatest hits collection, released in November 2001 on Reprise Records. It gathers every single the band put out between 1994 and 2000, so it runs from the Dookie years through to Warning:. Two extras sit among them: a rerecorded "Maria", originally a B-side from Waiting, and a previously unreleased track, "Poprocks & Coke".
It arrived at a natural pause, after Warning: and before the band's next studio album, American Idiot, in 2004. For anyone who wants the hits in one place, or who lost track of the band after the first rush of Dookie, it makes a handy overview of their pop-punk output across the second half of the 1990s. A DVD and VHS, International Supervideos!, came out alongside it with fifteen of the band's videos from the same period. The album went Platinum in the United States and 3× Platinum in the United Kingdom.
