Take Cover is Queensrÿche's tenth studio album, a collection of cover versions released on 13 November 2007. The idea grew out of a game of "name the riff" that guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone played during sound checks. From there, each band member picked two songs to record. Their take on Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine" was the only single.

It arrived between Operation: Mindcrime II in 2006 and American Soldier in 2009, a looser interlude after the band's concept-heavy run. It's worth hearing as a way into the tastes behind the group, with the choices coming from the players themselves rather than a label's wish list. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 173 in its first week.
