Live Evolution
Live Evolution is a live album from the American progressive metal band Queensrÿche, released on 25 September 2001 through Sanctuary Records. It was recorded over two nights, 27 and 28 July 2001, at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, Washington, and a DVD came out alongside the CD.
The CD gathers its songs into suites, each one standing for a different moment in the band's career, with a large section given over to the concept album Operation: Mindcrime. The DVD uses footage from the same two concerts, but it carries fewer songs and presents them in the order they were played on stage. It arrived between Q2K and Tribe, so it offers a look back across the band's catalogue from a Seattle stage. Fans who know the studio records will enjoy hearing them rearranged this way.
