Rage for Order
Rage for Order is the second studio album by Queensrÿche, released in June 1986 on EMI America. It followed their 1984 debut, The Warning, and sits just ahead of Operation: Mindcrime, the record that came in 1988. The band are filed under progressive metal, though the album's tags also take in heavy metal, hard rock and power metal, which gives a fair sense of how much ground the group covered.
For anyone tracing how Queensrÿche developed, this is the middle step between their first record and the concept album that followed it. A US release is listed for 12 December 1986, so American fans came to it a little later. It was reissued on 6 May 2003 with four bonus tracks, which makes that edition the natural one to hunt down if you want a bit more from the sessions.
