The Very Best of Winger is a greatest hits compilation from the American rock band, released through Atlantic Records and Rhino Entertainment on 2 October 2001. It draws mostly on their first three studio albums: Winger (1988), In the Heart of the Young (1990) and Pull (1993). The running order works backwards, so the most recently finished songs come first and the earliest ones close the collection.

The reason to look closely is the extras. "On the Inside" was newly recorded for the release, built from a riff left over from the Pull sessions that Kip Winger and Reb Beach shaped into a full song. There is also "Hell to Pay", a track from Pull that had previously been a Japanese bonus. It sits in the band's story as a look back before their return with IV in 2006.
