Pull
Pull is the third studio album by American rock band Winger, released on 18 May 1993 by Atlantic. Kip Winger took over production from Beau Hill, working with Mike Shipley, whose credits included Def Leppard's Adrenalize. With a considerable budget behind it, the band moved away from the glam metal anthems of their first two records towards something harder and more aggressive, with socio-political leanings on tracks such as "Blind Revolution Mad", "In for the Kill" and "Who's the One".
It was made by a trio, since guitarist and keyboard player Paul Taylor had left after the In the Heart of the Young tour in 1992. Sales fell short of the earlier albums, and it peaked at number 83 on the Billboard album chart, though lead single "Down Incognito" reached number 15 on the Mainstream Rock chart. The band split within a year, returning in 2001. Winger played Pull in full at ProgPower in 2024.
