In the Heart of the Young is the second album by the American band Winger, released on 24 July 1990 by Atlantic. Beau Hill produced it, and it is sometimes known as Winger II. It arrived as the glam metal scene in the States was fading, yet it sold well enough to earn platinum certification and peaked at number 15 on the album chart. "Miles Away" reached the Top 20 on the singles chart, while "Can't Get Enuff" and "Easy Come Easy Go" also became hits.

Musically it stays close to the debut, but leans harder on progressive rock touches and power ballads. Kip Winger has said the two rockier singles were late additions, written because the album seemed short of rock songs. A 13-month world tour followed, with Kiss, Scorpions, Extreme, Slaughter and ZZ Top among the acts they shared stages with. It was Paul Taylor's last album with the band until Seven in 2023.
