Live at Brixton Academy
Live at Brixton Academy captures Motörhead's 25th anniversary concert, played at the Brixton Academy in London on 22 October 2000. It first appeared as the live DVD 25 & Alive Boneshaker in November 2001, and the audio came out as a double live CD in December 2003. Steamhammer issued it in Europe, while Metal-Is, a Sanctuary Records subsidiary, handled North America. It is the band's seventh live album, arriving between We Are Motörhead and Hammered in their run of studio records.
The night was a celebration, with a crowd of guests joining in. Former guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke returned, and Queen's Brian May took part, as did Whitfield Crane, Doro Pesch and Ace of Skunk Anansie. Even the family turned up, with Phil Campbell's son Todd and Lemmy's son Paul Inder on stage. For anyone who loves the band in full flight among friends, it is a warm snapshot of a quarter-century milestone.
