Album
The Wörld Is Yours
The Wörld Is Yours is Motörhead's twentieth studio album, coming after Motörizer (2008) and before Aftershock (2013). It first appeared on 14 December 2010 as an exclusive edition, with the standard release following on 17 January 2011. Lemmy dedicated the record to Ronnie James Dio, who had died of cancer seven months earlier.
It also marked a change of home for the band. This was their first album for the German label UDR, with EMI handling distribution in most territories, and Motörhead Music returned to play a part in the production. For listeners who know the band mainly through their classic run of albums from 1977 to the early 1980s, it shows the group still working in heavy metal and hard rock, now with a fresh set of business partners behind them.
