Orgasmatron
Orgasmatron is Motörhead's seventh studio album, released in July 1986 on GWR Records, their first record for the label. It arrived after Another Perfect Day in 1983 and a compilation, No Remorse, in 1984, which had already offered a taste of the new line-up on its fresh tracks.
The big change here is the band's shape. For the first time Motörhead operated as a four-piece, with Phil "Wizzö" Campbell and Michael "Würzel" Burston sharing guitar duties rather than the group working as a trio. Pete Gill sat behind the kit, and this remains the only full studio album he made with them. Bill Laswell and Jason Corsaro handled the original mix. It's a worthwhile listen for hearing how the band sounded with a twin-guitar attack, and a newly remixed 40th anniversary reissue has since been announced.
