Extended Versions
Extended Versions is a live Motörhead album, released on 23 July 2002 by BMG Special Products in the United States. It arrived the same year as the band's studio album Hammered, in the long stretch of the Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee line-up, which ran from 1992 until the band ended in 2015.
For anyone who loves Motörhead on stage, it is a reminder of where the band felt most at home. Lemmy always insisted they were a rock and roll band, closer to punk than to metal, and live recordings such as this one show that approach at work. The live album No Sleep 'til Hammersmith (1981) remains the better-known place to start, but this is a worthwhile companion.
