Live War
Live War captures Bolt Thrower on stage in Manchester in 1992. The band recorded it themselves on an 8-track tape, simply to have a live document of their own. It is sometimes listed under the shorter title War.
The recording found its way to listeners in 1994, when Earache Records packed it as a second disc with a limited 2CD edition of …For Victory. The stand-alone release followed on 13 December 2010. It sits in the story just after The IVth Crusade, so you hear the band at the point when Realm of Chaos and War Master were already behind them. For anyone who knows the studio records, it is a chance to hear that death metal in a raw, band-made capture. MetalMusicArchives rated it 3.5 out of 5.
