…For Victory
…For Victory is the fifth album by the British death metal band Bolt Thrower, released in November 1994 on Earache Records. It followed The IVth Crusade from 1992 and came before Mercenary in 1998, so it sits at the midpoint of a run of studio albums that began with In Battle There Is No Law! in 1988.
The band recorded it at Sawmill studios in 1994 and produced it themselves alongside Colin Richardson. The title track quotes from Laurence Binyon's poem known as the Ode of Remembrance, which suits a band so often drawn to the subject of war. It was also the last record to feature Andrew Whale on drums, which gives it a place in the group's history. A limited edition came with a live CD called Live War, a good extra for anyone wanting to hear the band on stage.
