Bolt Thrower

Bolt Thrower were a death metal band from Coventry, England, who formed in 1986 and stayed together until 2016. Their sound sits firmly in the old school death metal tradition, and they were often described as one of Britain's most consistent and enduring bands in the genre. Their first album, In Battle There Is No Law!, came out through Vinyl Solution in 1988, before they moved to Earache Records and became one of the label's best-selling acts.

Across eight studio albums, they are best known today for Realm of Chaos (1989), War Master (1991), The IVth Crusade (1992) and their last record, Those Once Loyal (2005). Metal Blade Records was their final label. They toured Europe, the United States and Australia, and after drummer Martin Kearns died in September 2015, the band disbanded on the first anniversary of his death.
