Tyrants of the Rising Sun: Live in Japan
Tyrants of the Rising Sun: Live in Japan is Arch Enemy's live release, issued by Century Media on 24 November 2008. It centres on a show filmed in Tokyo in early 2008, and it came out as a DVD and CD package, with the concert also available on two discs of audio. Alongside the gig, the DVD includes a road-movie feature running to about forty minutes.
It arrived in the wake of Rise of the Tyrant, the band's seventh studio album from 2007, and the DVD gathers every promotional video shot for that record. That makes it a handy snapshot of the melodic death metal band at that point in their story, both on stage and on the road. Fans who want the full picture can pick the deluxe edition, which pairs the DVD with two CDs, while limited EPs were also released.
