What If…
What If… is the seventh studio album by the American hard rock band Mr. Big, released on 15 December 2010. It was the band's first record since their 2009 reunion and their first in ten years, following Actual Size in 2001. It also brought guitarist Paul Gilbert back alongside the rest of the original line-up for the first time since Hey Man in 1996.
The band recorded it over September and October 2010 at a studio in the Los Angeles area, with Kevin Shirley producing. His credits include Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Rush and Black Country Communion. "Undertow" was the lead single, released on 27 November 2010, and its video appeared on the special edition DVD. A world tour followed in 2011, making this a natural place to pick up the story of the reunited band.
