…The Stories We Could Tell
…The Stories We Could Tell is the eighth studio album by American hard rock band Mr. Big, released on 24 September 2014. It is their second record since the 2010 reunion album What If…, and it was made with producer Pat Regan, whose credits include Kiss, Deep Purple, Warrant and Keel. Thirteen new songs make up the set, with the European and Japanese editions adding a live bonus track from the band's self-titled debut: "Addicted to that Rush" on the former, and a cover of Humble Pie's "30 Days in the Hole" on the latter.
The album matters for what it marks in the band's story. It is the last Mr. Big record to feature Pat Torpey on drums throughout, as he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease two months before it came out. On the follow-up he still appeared, but Matt Starr took over the kit on several tracks. For anyone following the band since the reunion, this is the final full outing with the original line-up behind the drums.
