Warrant

Warrant are an American glam metal band who formed in Hollywood, Los Angeles, in 1984 and are still active today. Their sound began in hard rock and glam metal territory, then took in grunge and alternative influences in the mid-1990s before returning to its roots by the end of the decade.

Their commercial peak ran from 1989 to 1996. The double platinum debut, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich (1989), produced "Heaven", which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Cherry Pie (1990) added a hit with its title track. Dog Eat Dog (1992) won critical praise, and Ultraphobic followed in 1995. After Jani Lane left and later died in 2011, the band carried on, and Robert Mason now sings with them.
