Skid Row
Skid Row formed in Toms River, New Jersey, in 1986 and play a hard-hitting mix of glam metal, hard rock and heavy metal. Their classic line-up paired bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarists Dave Sabo and Scotti Hill with drummer Rob Affuso and singer Sebastian Bach. Bolan, Sabo and Hill are still in the band today, alongside drummer Rob Hammersmith.
Their self-titled debut of 1989 and Slave to the Grind (1991) both went multi-platinum, and the latter reached number one on the Billboard 200. Together they gave the band "18 and Life" and "I Remember You", both US top 10 singles, plus "Youth Gone Wild" and "Monkey Business". Subhuman Race (1995) won critical praise, though it sold less. Bach left in 1996, and a string of singers has followed, most recently Erik Grönwall on The Gang's All Here, the band's first studio album in 16 years.
