Ratt

Ratt are an American glam metal band, active from 1976, who became one of the defining names of the early 1980s Los Angeles scene alongside their friendly rivals Mötley Crüe. Their sound sits between hard rock and heavy metal, built around hooks that suited the radio as well as the clubs. Their albums earned gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA.

Out of the Cellar (1984), Invasion of Your Privacy (1985), Dancing Undercover (1986) and Detonator (1990) are the records most listeners return to. "Round and Round" reached No. 12 on Billboard's top 40, while "Lay It Down" reached No. 40. "Wanted Man", "You're in Love" and "Dance" are also well worth hearing. After long breaks and line-up changes from the 1990s onwards, they released their final studio album, Infestation, in April 2010.
