Tell the World: The Very Best of Ratt
Tell the World: The Very Best of Ratt is a career-spanning compilation from the American glam metal band, released in August 2007 on Rhino and Atlantic. It draws on all six of their studio albums up to that point, including the four consecutive platinum records of the mid-to-late 1980s: Out of the Cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy, Dancing Undercover and Reach for the Sky.
The rest of the set stretches beyond the core run. Detonator from 1990 and the self-titled 1999 album are both represented, alongside a selection from the 1997 rarities collection Collage, a favourite from their 1990 MTV Unplugged session, and their single from the 1991 Point Break soundtrack. Oddly, the title track from their 1983 debut EP isn't here, and nothing from that EP is. Still, it's a handy way into the band's whole story.
