Ratt & Roll 8191 is a compilation from the American glam metal band Ratt, released on 3 September 1991 through Atlantic. It gathers the group's biggest hits and album cuts from 1983 to 1991, so it covers their whole run of the 1980s in a single set.
It arrived a year after Detonator, the last of the five studio albums the band made in that decade, and it works as a handy summary of the Out of the Cellar years and beyond. The record reached No. 57 on the chart, and its sales had passed 700,000 by the time another compilation, The Essentials, appeared. For anyone who wants the Ratt story without tracking down every album, it is a sensible place to start.
