Conspiracy
Conspiracy is King Diamond's fourth studio album, released in August 1989 on Roadrunner Records. It follows "Them" from 1988 and carries that record's story forward, so it works as the second part of a two-album tale rather than a standalone set. The band are Danish and play traditional heavy metal, and this sits in the run of releases that began with Fatal Portrait and Abigail.
It is also the last King Diamond album to feature drummer Mikkey Dee, who had left the group but recorded the album as a session member. If you're curious where to start, try "Cremation", a song that later turned up in the 2009 video game Brütal Legend. Hear it as the middle chapter before The Eye arrived in 1990.
