Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich
Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich is the debut studio album from American glam metal band Warrant, released in 1989 on Columbia. It opens a catalogue that runs from here through Cherry Pie in 1990 and on to Louder Harder Faster in 2017, so it is where the whole Warrant story begins.
The record did well straight away, reaching number 10 on the Billboard 200. It produced three hit singles: "Heaven", which climbed to number 2, "Down Boys" at number 27, and "Sometimes She Cries" at number 20. The sleeve is worth a look too, with a painting by Mark Ryden meant to portray a business psychopath. It is a good place to hear the band at the start, before the success that followed.
