Decade of Aggression Live
Decade of Aggression Live is Slayer's double live album, released on 22 October 1991 through Def American Recordings and produced by Rick Rubin. It was assembled from performances at three different venues on three separate dates. Its working title was Decade of Decadence, but Mötley Crüe registered that name first, so the band changed course.
It arrived straight after Seasons in the Abyss and gathered the first ten years of the band's career on stage. Critics responded warmly, with Entertainment Weekly and Robert Christgau both giving it a positive rating, and it reached number 55 on the Billboard 200. Three of its tracks later appeared in the box set Soundtrack to the Apocalypse. For anyone wanting Slayer's thrash in concert form, this is the place to start.
