Danzig III: How the Gods Kill is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Danzig. It followed their self-titled debut of 1988 and Danzig II - Lucifuge from 1990, and it came out on Def American Recordings on 14 July 1992. At the time, it was the band's highest-charting record. It sits in the middle of an early run that established the group's blend of heavy metal, hard rock and blues rock, with some alternative metal edges.

For anyone tracing the band's story, this is the record where that early run reached its commercial peak. It was reissued in 1998 by American Recordings, the successor to Def American, which kept it in circulation as the band moved on to Danzig 4P in 1994 and beyond. It is a good place to hear the group's darker, bluesier side at the height of its early success.
