Live on the Black Hand Side
Live on the Black Hand Side is a double-disc live album from the American heavy metal band Danzig, released on 8 May 2001 through Glenn Danzig's own Evilive label, with Restless Records handling distribution. It was the band's first official full-length concert record.
Rather than documenting a single night, it gathers recordings from shows across 1992 to 2000, among them the Halloween '92 performance at Irvine Meadows in California. Earlier live material had only surfaced on the 1993 EP Thrall-Demonsweatlive and a handful of CD singles, and that EP holds four tracks from the Irvine show that don't appear here. The set also takes in "Halloween II", a song first recorded in the studio by the Misfits, Glenn Danzig's first band. It makes a handy overview of the band's first decade on stage.
