Voices of Transgression: A 90’s Retrospective

Released4 April 1999

Voices of Transgression: A 90's Retrospective is a Kreator compilation released on 4 April 1999 by GUN Records. Mille Petrozza compiled it himself, and it draws only on the German thrash band's 1990s albums, so the earlier records of the 1980s are left aside.

It arrived in the same year as Endorama, and it sits alongside a decade that took in Coma of Souls, Renewal, Cause for Conflict and Outcast. The draw for existing fans is three previously unreleased tracks: "Inferno", "As We Watch the West" and "Lucretia (My Reflection)", a cover of a song written and performed by The Sisters of Mercy. That last choice fits the gothic leanings in the band's wider sound, making this a handy look at Kreator's more varied years.
