The Ultra‐Violence
The Ultra-Violence is the debut studio album by Death Angel, an American band playing thrash and speed metal. It came out in 1987 on Enigma, with the US and UK/Europe releases both dated that year. It was mixed at George Tobin Studios in Hollywood, California.
What makes the record worth hearing is the age of the people who made it. Every member was under 20 when it was recorded, and drummer Andy Galeon was only 14. It opens a run of albums that stretches from Frolic Through the Park in 1988 and Act III in 1990 through to Humanicide in 2019, so it is the place to start if you want to hear how Death Angel began.
