Nobody's Daughter is the fourth and last studio album by Hole, following Pretty on the Inside, Live Through This and Celebrity Skin. It came out on 2010 through The Island Def Jam Music Group, and it had a long, winding road to get there.

It began as a solo follow-up to Courtney Love's 2004 record America's Sweetheart. Love started writing in 2005 while in a lockdown rehabilitation centre, encouraged by her friend and former producer Linda Perry. Sessions with Perry and Billy Corgan followed in 2006, but she scrapped them and began again with guitarist Micko Larkin, eventually taking the record to Los Angeles and New York. Larkin ended up producing. Reviews were mixed, with praise for the instrumentation and lyrics and criticism of its folk rock leanings, but Love called it the best record she had made.
