Last Patrol

Last Patrol is the ninth studio album by American stoner rockers Monster Magnet, released on 15 October 2013 on Spinning Goblin Productions. It follows 2010's Mastermind and marks a change in the band's make-up: guitarist Ed Mundell, a member since the days of their 1991 debut Spine of God, left shortly after that earlier record, so this is the first Monster Magnet album in over two decades without him.

In the US the record sold around 2,300 copies in its first week and reached number 188 on the Billboard 200. The band clearly believed in it, though. On the European leg of their tour in January and February 2014, they played the whole album at every show. A reworked version, Milking the Stars: A Re-Imagining of Last Patrol, followed in 2014, which suggests the songs had plenty of life left in them.
