God Says No
God Says No is the fifth studio album by American rock band Monster Magnet, released on 12 November 2000 through A&M Records. It came after Powertrip, and it didn't match that record's commercial success, though it still reached number 17 in Germany. Promotion problems saw the band leave A&M afterwards, and it was the last album to feature bassist Joe Calandra and drummer Jon Kleiman.
The US edition followed in April 2001 and includes "Medicine", a fresh recording of a song first heard on their 1991 debut, Spine of God. "Heads Explode" got two separate videos and was used in the film Dracula 2000, appearing on its soundtrack, while "Melt" had a video built mostly from live footage laid over the studio track. For anyone following the band's stoner-leaning hard rock through its turning points, this one marks the end of a chapter.
