Korn

Korn are a nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, who formed in 1993 around James "Munky" Shaffer, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and David Silveria, previously of L.A.P.D. They put out a demo tape, Neidermayer's Mind, that year and gave it away to record companies and anyone who asked. Today the line-up is Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch on guitar, Jonathan Davis on vocals and Ray Luzier on drums, who replaced Silveria in 2007.

Their self-titled debut arrived in 1994, and Life Is Peachy (1996) became their commercial breakthrough. Follow the Leader (1998) and Issues (1999) both entered the Billboard 200 at number one, and "Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash" were retired from MTV's Total Request Live. Those four records are the best places to start. Their most recent album is Requiem, released in 2022.
