Dedication: The Very Best of Thin Lizzy is a compilation released on 4 February 1991 on Vertigo. It gathers the band's hard rock and blues rock highlights from a run of studio albums that began with their self-titled debut in 1971 and ended with Thunder and Lightning in 1983. A VHS video came out alongside it.

The one new track is the title song, pieced together after Phil Lynott's death from an old eight-track demo of a Grand Slam song, originally recorded around 1985 and written by guitarist Laurence Archer. It was presented as a lost Thin Lizzy recording, with Archer's guitar and writing credit removed, though his bass stayed in. A High Court case followed, and Archer is now credited as the writer. That story adds a curious footnote to a collection that works well as a way into the band's catalogue.
